NightlyTales is an AI bedtime story service. We take your privacy and your child's privacy seriously.

2. What information we collect

Your email address
Your child's first name, age, and interests
Payment information (processed and stored securely by Stripe — we never see your full card details)
Story history associated with your child's profile

3. How we use your information

To generate and deliver personalised bedtime stories
To send you account and service emails
To improve the quality of our stories over time
We do not sell your data to third parties

4. Your child's information

We collect minimal information about your child (name, age, interests) and use it only to personalise their stories. We do not knowingly collect more information than is necessary for this purpose.

5. Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (database) and Resend (email delivery). Both services maintain industry-standard security practices.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@nightlytales.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under Australian Privacy Law you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled your data

8. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for the service to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes.
